Arbutus unedo (Strawberry Tree) is an exotic looking, fast growing evergreen, large shrub / small tree ideal for creating all year round screening. It can grow to 5m in height and almost as wide. It has bay-like leaves and white, pieris-like flowers in autumn, alongside strawberry-like fruits. This really is a fantastic plant and perfect for bringing the Mediterranean feel to a garden or space. Tolerant of our weather in the most of the UK. It will tolerate partial shade but prefers full sun, in a moist but well-drained soil.
