Quercus petraea (the Durmast, or Sessile Oak) is a Native, ecologically vital, deciduous tree with leathery, dark-green leaves, that turn orange-brown throughout autumn. It can reach to 40m within its lifetime and is often considered a more handsome variety than its relative the common English Oak.
