Ilex 'Pyramidalis' has an RHS Award of Garden Merit and is a faster growing variety that produces lots of upward growth rather than a main stem but can be kept with a main, leader stem, by pruning. Leaves are smoother than most Hollies and has plenty of red berries in the autumn/winter. Ideal as a large shrub/tree on its own or as part of a hedge.
