These already established Prunus lusitanica Angustifolia or Portuguese Laurel is a popular choice for hedging due to their compact, dense, bushy nature with dark green, shiny leaves and easy to maintain habit. Portuguese Laurel is infact hardier than the Common Cherry Laurel and can give a more formal look, it is however slower to grow, providing between 30cm-50cm of growth per year. It does have pretty little clusters of off-white flowers in spring that follow with purple-blue berries in autumn. It can be easily be kept between 3m and 5m in height. It will tolerate most conditions. Create an instant hedge or feature with these beautiful, established specimens.
