Green leaved Beech (Fagus sylvatica) is a deciduous plant with yellow green leaves in Spring. The Beech can be grown as a hedge 3ft(1m)tall and will ultimately make a very large tree if planted singly. It makes a superb hedge when planted on its own keeping its dead leaves, which turn a coppery brown, until Spring when the new leaf shoots push off the old leaves. soil-well drained avoiding heavy clay.
