Reclaimed Railway Sleepers

Railway Sleepers

Reclaimed and used railway sleepers are an ideal material to build raised beds, water features and interesting structure especially if you want an established, rustic effect with character.

Reclaimed and used railway sleepers are an ideal material to build raised beds, water features and interesting structure especially if you want a natural, rustic effect with loads of character, without the need to wait for years of weathering for the same effect.

The picture shows the use of rustic railway sleepers to great effect.  The landscaper has taken some fence post which have been set into concrete behind the posts.  He has then drilled through the railway sleepers using 8 inch bolt screws to build the retaining wall using the reclaimed railway sleepers.

Derwent Treescapes can supply good quality, inspected reclaimed railway sleepers, trhey come in 2.55m lengths which are 250mm x 150mm wide and deep.  They can be delivered locally and if you require your sleepers cutting to certain lengths, the trained staff will be happy to oblige.
