Geotextile - Landscaping Membrane

Landscape Fabric (Membrane) is used as an effective barrier for the control of weeds and roots.  It is laid on the ground below the topsoil and its structure allows air, water and nutrients to pass through but prevents weed from emerging from dormant seeds below.  

Plantex® geotextiles from DuPont™ is a leading brand of non woven geotexile landscaping fabric and is highly effective.  It is free from chemicals so you have no fear of toxic substances leaching from the fabric and having a detrimental affect in the surrounding soil.   The membrane has a long life and used properly, will deter weeds for many years to come with the added benefits of less time maintaining the weeds.  The fabric is easy to use, it can be cut to the required size and shape by scissors or a stanley knife.  It comes in a range of widths and can be bought by the length or the roll.
