Black-Stem Dogwood (Cornus alba kesselringii) is fast growing,vigorous and deciduous. It has striking deep purple stems, and in Summer it has dark green leaves becoming marked with red/purple in Autumn. Around late spring there are creamy white flowers, followed by white berries in autumn. It grows well in all soils and provides a good winter effect especially if planted with other dogwoods .
