Wild Privet (Ligustrum vulgare) Is the only native privet and is very common in hedgerows and woodland in England and Wales. It is semi-evergreen and is fast growing with medium sized leaves. It has white flowers in July and long shining black fruits in winter, it is very attractive to birds.
