The braeburn has a sharp, refreshing flavour which is very pleasant and slightly aromatic.  Sweet but plenty of acidity.  Needs a good summer to fully ripen.  Heavy cropper and makes a fabulous pie.

Skin colour: Yellowish green, lightly striped with red.
