The Katsura tree is a medium-sized tree with fantastic spring and autumn foliage colour and scent! In spring new leaves emerge a copper colour, that mature to green, heart-shaped leaves. It has a rounded, conical habit that will reach up to 10-15m in height by 5-10m wide. In autumn its leaces turn stunning shads of pink, purple, red or and and yellow! It also releases a distinctive caramel scent. It will grow in most soils, but provides its best display in acidic soils. In prefers full sun or light shade, with a little protection from the frosts. A really elegant, pretty tree with lots to offer throughout the year.
