Cornus 'China Girl' is a medium-sized tree with tiered branches, providing structure and winter interest, but it really is a striking tree at its peak in June. Above its leaves, protruding from its horizontal branches are large, upward-facing white flowers, followed by an intense autumnal display of reds and oranges, before the leaves fall. As these types of Cornus have distinctly tiered branches, pruning is minimal, so to not lose their naturally striking shape, making them ideal as a choice for a low maintenance tree.
