Pineapple, or Moroccan Broom is a fantastic tree to enhance that summer feel in a garden or space. It is a semi-evergreen tree with silver-green foliage and bright, golden-yellow, pea-like flowers in upright cones in early summer. The flowers have a lovely pineapple scent which attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. This tree loves full sun and a free-draining soil so perfect in a mediterranean style garden! It is hardy down to -10° C but does require a full sun spot, without exposure to wind. It can reach up to 4m in height and spread but responds well to pruning.
