The purple, weeping Beech is a majestic beast with huge pendulous branches that reach up high and trail down all the way to the ground. Its purple-red leaves look striking throughout the growing season, then turning copper-coloured in autumn before falling. A very slow-growing tree but will get up to 12m x 8m at full maturity.
