Magnolia grandiflora 'Gallisoniensis' is an evergreen tree with large, leathery, glossy, green foliage with red-brown, furry undersides, providing interest and structure all year round. It has huge, creamy-white flowers in late summer that have a wonderful lemon scent. The flowers look stunning, contrasting against the dark-green foliage. It will grow as a stand alone tree as a feature or as often seen, growing against a house wall. They need a sheltered position to avoid damage to their foliage throughout the winter.
