'Director Moerland' is an improved version of 'Profusion' with wine-coloured flowers in late April through to early May.  New foliage unfurls to match the blossom, maturing to green throughout the season. The crab apples are small, dark red and long lasting. Will grow up to 10m in height and forms a rounded shape. Will tolerate most situations avoiding wet soils.
