Red Sentinel displays clusters of blood-red fruits that stay on the branches right through the winter months if uneaten by wildlife. In mid-spring masses of single, white, beautifully scented flowers blossom and provide a stunning, delicate display. The crab apples are quite small but many of them and they're fantastic for use in purées, jellies and other apple dishes that require a sharper taste. It will grow up to 5m in height by 4m wide. As do other Malus, it will tolerate most conditions, avoiding very wet.
