'Sun Rival' is one of the best varieties of Crab Apple for it's compact, attractive, weeping, umbrella shape and bright pink buds that open out to bright-white flowers, with flushes of pink. Branches weep down all the way to the ground is some cases, providing a splendid display all year round, but especially when it flowers in spring.  In Autumn it bares bright-red crab apples, whilst the foliage turns bright yellow before falling. Crabs are held on the branches after the leaves have fallen, well into winter, adding to its year round interest. It will grow up to 3m in height and spread so ideal for smaller gardens and spaces. Crab Apple trees tolerate most conditions and soils so makes it a very versatile tree.
