A fantastic choice of early flowering tree with deep-pink, single flowers in february and march on bare branches, weeks before other flowering trees. The flowers have an Almond scent and leaves turn shades of red and orange in autumn before falling, accompanied by yellow fruits. H&S 3x3m. Moist soils but definitely good drainage.
