A very popular, medium sized, flowering cherry with pink, double flowers with a frilly edge, in early spring, before bronze foliage begins to unfurl. This is followed by a burnt-orange display in autumn. Often used in tree avenue planting but equally as a specimen tree alone. Will reach up to 6m in height x 4m wide. Will tolerate most conditions apart from very wet or shallow, chalky soil.
