The Douglas Fir is a huge, evergreen conifer tree with grey-green bark with blisters that are highly fragrant of that Christmas tree smell! It has soft, needle-like foliage of lush-green, with silvery undersides. Cones form in autumn providing further interest to this grand tree. These trees provide for alsorts of wildlife inlcuding birds, squirrels and in parts of the country pine martens!
