Rhus are large, deciduous shrubs or small trees used for their striking autumn colour display of bright yellow and orange, firey colours. 'Dissectum' is a variety with deeply dissected leaves, providing even more interest to this plant. In spring, spikes of clusters of creamy-white flowers are borne, followed by pyramidal clusters of ruby red fruit, that hold throughout winter, providing colour and interest. It is an exceptionally hardy plant and looks fantastic as a specimen tree or as part of a mixed border. It will reach up to 3m in height and width. Rhus thrive in full sun and will tolerate most soils.
