Originally from Scandinavia, the Sorbus Intermedia is a medium-sized, deciduous tree that will grow up to 12m high by 4m wide and forms a broad, dense canopy. Leaves are quite distinct; deep-green, deeply serrated and with a silver under-side. Clusters of white flowers typically appear in spring and are followed by rich-red berries in the autumn, which provide our birds with food for the winter. Will tolerate most conditions, avoiding very wet.
