Whitebeam

Description

Features:
✓ Grey-white undersides of the leaves
✓ Clusters of creamy-white flowers in spring
✓ Orange-red berries in autumn
✓ Neat and compact in shape

Sorbus aria 'Magnifica' is as its name suggests; a magnificent variety of Whitebeam, with leaves emerging later than its relatives and maturing to a grey-white underneath which makes for an attractive feature. In spring it bares clusters of creamy-white flowers, which are followed in autumn by orange-red berries. It forms a compact, rounded shape when mature, but starts off more narrow from young.
