A more narrow growing variety than the popular Crimson King, with very similar bright-red new leaves, turning deep-red, plum colour throughout spring and summer. Red-yellow flowers are borne in spring, followed by winged fruits in autumn. Leaves turn shades or red and orange before falling in autumn. An ideal variety for a smaller space in a medium-large garden. Makes a good screening tree for buildings/windows etc.
