Corylus avellana 'Contorta' is a very hardy, smaller growing Hazel with twisted stems that provide winter interest when the leaves have fallen. In late winter golden-yellow catkins hang from bare stems, followed by fresh-green twisted leaves. They are a medium-sized shrub ideal for in a mixed border or as a stand alone specimen plant.
