The purple/dark-leaved flowering Plum/Cherry is popular for its rich, deep-purple leaves throughout spring and summer and stems that are almost black. The foliage provides brilliant interest to any space and looks striking alone, or underplanted with lighter foliage planting. In spring, an abundance of double, pink flowers bloom, alonside new, bronze leaves. In autumn before the leaves fall, they turn shades of red and orange. This Plum Cherry has a rounded form and will grow up to 5m in height, by 3m wide. Will tolerate most conditions apart from very wet or shallow, chalky soil.
