Lleylandii is one of the fastest plants for growing as a hedge and can produce 70cm-90cm of growth per year. It is an evergreen plant so forms a dense, full looking hedge, all year round. Trimming is best done in spring when the weather is cooler and there is fresh new growth. Lleylandii doesn't respond to cutting into old wood so only ever trim new growth and keep on top of trimming. Hedges can be kept well between 2m and 6m.
