Description

Features:

Cherry laurel is a large evergreen shrub which grows 3-6m tall, it makes an ideal hedge or screen and takes being cut back hard. The leaves are a lush green and provides a dense hedge if kept well trimmed.
The flower buds appear early Spring and are followed by red, changing to black, cherry like fruits. It is tolerant of overhanging trees and can be planted in shade. Naturalised in the United kingdom.
Soil - most, but will go yellow (chlorotic) in poor, shallow, chalk soils.
