The Cockspur Thorn is quite different to other thorns with a distinctly different leaf - less serrated and more rounded. In autumn the leaves turn shades of red and orange making it attractive for longer. As per other Thorn trees it has clusters of white flowers in spring, followed by red berries 'haws'.
