A beautiful feature tree to stand alone, or plant in a mixed border amongst contrasting foliage colours. Leaves are green with cream margins, providing an attractive, light appearance. New stems are red which contrasts well with the leaves. Usually has a central stem but then lateral branches form tiers or layers which provides interesting structure in the winter. Will tolerate a shadey spot but leaves often revert to just green.
